Lawyer Robert Tankel featured as guest speaker at Florida CAM Schools Sponsored Community Association Law Seminar

AMEILA ISLAND, Florida, August 30, 2016 / PRNewswire / – Lawyer Robert Tankel of Tankel Law Group, was a guest speaker at a recent seminar organized by Florida CAM Schools (FCS). Held at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, it was organized and sponsored in part by Management of Amelia Island. Over 60 Florida Community Association (CAM) managers and board members attended and received 4 hours of CE credit or board certification.

Bob tankel has been practicing community association law since 1982 and is the founder of Tankel Law Group. He is an expert in the field, devoting his entire professional career to this representation.

Dealing with these animals owned by occupants of condos, co-ops and communities governed by homeowners associations has potential ramifications with the Fair Housing Act (FHA). The potential for so-called disparate impact violations of the FHA through use restrictions on landlord and tenant credit scores and criminal history was also discussed.
